Paying It Forward - Also Great Marketing?

Paying It Forward - Also Great Marketing?

Okay, so you all know how hooked on reading the news I am.  And so, once again, I was reading another - yep you guessed it - article.  It was about how this pizza chain, Mellow Mushroom went over and above board for one of our service members in Afghanistan.

You see, his wife's birthday was coming up, so he emailed tham and asked them to deliver a pizza and a $50 gift card to her and he would call with his credit card.  Shoot, not only did they deliver a heart shaped pizza and the gift card, they also stopped and bought flowers and balloons for her as well.  And the serviceman received an email saying, "We've got your back".  They never charged him a penny.

You can read more details about this story HERE.

But the moral of this story is: when you pay it forward and do nice things for people it could come back and help build your business.  It breeds trust.  Sometimes you even go over and above like Mellow Mushroom did.  I actually had a list at one time of things that would help people and possibly help you at the same time.

I have, in the past, paid for the person behind me in the drivethru and asked the cashier to hand them my business card and tell them to have a nice day.  One lady actually called me to say thank you and I made her day!

Another thing I have done is pay for a senior citizen's dinner.  I hate to see people eat alone, so I hope it makes them feel like they are appreciated and cared about.  In this instance, it is done in secret, because that's the way I prefer to do it.

But, honestly, how many more pizzas do you think Mellow Mushroom is going to sell all because they did a good deed!  You just can't market any better than this.

And if you are looking for a realtor you can trust, look no further. Contact me for help, a real estate question answered, or a free home value.  I will be more than happy to help you.
