States Where No One Wants To Buy A New Home

Okay, so I was reading yet another article, this time in Yahoo Real Estate.  WOW, the title!  States Where No One Wants To Buy A New Home!  Kinda gets your attention, doesn't it?  It sure did mine, so I read further.

This article was based on new building permits and the decline between 2005 and 2011 in these cities. Some of them make a lot of sense because, as I see it, they have already built up to their maximum potentional and there is really no more room.  The percentages in this article are staggering. Can you imagine a state where the permits are down 84.18%?  How bad that economy must truly be.

The state of Rhode Island came in number one.  In my opinion, this is just one of those states where you can obviously build only so much.  So it kinda of made sense to me.  They were down 72.71% in building permits during this time.  And number six was Ohio.  This one I don't get at all because there's lots of room to keep going and going and going, kinda like the Energizer Bunny. Then, last but not least was Pennsylvania with a loss of 60.29% in permitting.  It seems like the East Coast states are doing worse than us here on the West end of the country.

Anyway, the bright side of all this is that for once, California is not one of the worst.  And there is plenty of good Real Estate for sale in our beautiful state to go around. There had to be a silver lining somewhere, didn't there?

So, as always, if you have real estate questions or need some help in buying or selling a home, turn to a local expert.  I will be honored to assist you.

CALIFORNIA LIVING!
