Okay, so my great-grandfather actually played PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL on the Pittsburgh Pirates with the famous Honus Wagner. My grandmother used to tell me stories about the barbecues the family would have in the off-season where Honus wuld come over. Apparently she would sit on his knee and he would tell her lots of stories. Who knew!
Anyway, my mother is the proud owner of the scrap book which contains all sorts of newspaper clippings, team photos and memorabilia. My great-grandmother would collect these during the season in one of those old books with the black paper and the old white ink. My great-grandfather would come home in the off-season and write notes in the margins. It really is AWESOME! My grandmother and my mother even visited Cooperstown to see the HALL OF FAME. You know that means that at some point, I have to go, too.

And it's time for opening day night for major league baseball! SO EXCITING!
The Angels of Anaheim will open tomorrow night against the TORONTO BLUE JAYS. And just so you know, ANGEL STADIUM is only 30 minites away from La Verne! So for those of you who appreciate the American League, you're close enough for those games!
THE LOS ANGELES DODOGERS begin their season against their long-time rivals, the SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS. (One of my sons says the Dodgers are gonna lose. Can you say a house divided? I guess there's no accounting for taste! LOL Anyway, it's SCOREBOARD time and we'll see who has a better record this season!) Did you know that living in La Verne, we are only a mere 40 minutes from DODGER STADIUM? The best of the NATIONAL LEAGUE right here as well!
I can't say enough things about living here in La Verne. It's an amazing place to be. So if you're planning on moving to an awesome community, give me a call! I'll steer you to the perfect house for you.
