Okay, so I was just reading a blog by Jody Keating about the Written Word. It really caught my attention. Now, while I totally agree with everything she said, I grew up with a saying that says, "LET YOUR WORD BE YOUR WORD". Yes, your word must be your word, PERIOD.
So, this leads me to the title of this blog, THE WRITTEN WORD ONLY? I have long ago come to believe that people who are trustworthy stand by not only their written contracts, but everything they say with their words. Those type of agents give our business a good and trustworthy name. This is also exemplified in their personal lives as well. It is ingrained into them because they are HONEST.
I know, in our business you have to "get everything in writing". And it's too bad there are those out there who have to have something written down for proof or they won't hold true to their word. And that's just it,TRUE. Being honest is being always truthful even when you regret saying the words or the consequences.... BE TRUE TO YOUR WORD NO MATTER WHAT!
