Long Island NY, Are You Listening? Calling on the AR Community For Help
Okay, so you all know how I read my news, gotta have news and coffee to get going in the morning. Anyway, this really pulled at my heart, so I just wanted to share it with you.
This family's home was destroyed in Hurricane Sandy. It's mainly the first floor that needs help. They have been trying to raise money for the repairs and have about $83,000 so far. Then - CRY - the mom finds out she has Lou Gehrig's disease and only has a few years to live. Her poor little body is already feeling the crippling affects of the disease.
She worries for her family and she needs her first floor fixed asap with handicapped ramps, etc. I'm sure it is tougher for her as she knows what to expect, her mother died of the same disease and she knows what it's all about.
So I'm reaching out and asking for help. If you know of a contractor close to Long Island, New York, please make this happen. I can't imagine.... or even begin to understand this, but I am overwhelmed by a need to help this morning.
